This is an exciting and fun-filled trip during which young people can challenge themselves and pick up new skills while being given the opportunity to excel in ways they didn’t even know were possible. It is all about getting wet, laughing out loud and pushing the boundaries – and, as always with ElementalUK, safety, fun and learning go hand in hand.
The trip usually talks place over five days, with groups staying in specialist hotel accommodation in Newquay and participating in a range of activities at beautiful seaside locations, all of which are within 45 minutes’ drive of your accommodation. An ElementalUK rep will be allocated to your group for the duration of your stay, with back-up from the ElementalUK teams at Swanpool and Tolcarne throughout.
The activities on offer can be tailored to your group and include a variety of land and water-based adventures at our two beach centres: choose from kayaking, sailing, coasteering, raft-building and stand-up paddle-boarding at Swanpool Beach in Falmouth; plus surfing, body-boarding, bouldering, beach archery, volleyball and initiative tests at Tolcarne Beach in Newquay.
We can also add on trips to iconic Cornish destinations such as the Eden Project, and we run a full programme of evening entertainments ranging from beach games and quiz nights to beach BBQs and talent shows.
This trip is suitable for all age groups. We often host Year 6 leavers’ residential groups as well as organising team-building trips for HE colleges - plus everyone in between!
We love it so much we come back every year! Excellent location, with excellent instructors who are knowledgeable and fun, great facilities and high-standard equipment. Students talk about how much they enjoyed their enrichment week even years later. For both staff and students it’s the highlight of the year.

We have been delighted with the excellent package that Elemental provides, and with the care, support and guidance they offer throughout the whole process. Since our first trip with Elemental we have never looked back.
